when purchasing 3 separate gift i was also charged $12.00 for the Stubs enrollment which I didn't ask for nor was asked. Someone owes me some money.

Do you still have your receipt? I would go back to AMC and try to get your refund, if they give you problems, ask for their manager. Last resort, if you purchased it with a credit card, fight the $12 charge since it was an unauthorized purchase.
