As I took my first bite of the McRib, my preconceived notions of delight and deliciousness met the harsh reality that the McRib tasted nothing like I expected. The meat portion of the McRib seemed like a cross between a veggie and meat patty paired with some non-meat filler. The sauce was pretty funky as well. If it were a barbecue flavored sauce, it could have at least masked the not so good taste of the McRib.
McDonalds would be better off shrinking the size of the McRib and putting more quality into the actual meat than creating a larger blob of whatever they call the McRib. I'm glad I tried the McRib, but wished it gave me butterflies like the Filet-O-Fish or McDonald’s Mushroom & Swiss Angus burger. Touche McDonald's, you got me.
